Since 1991, Phoenix Heart PLLC has been committed to bringing the latest cardiovascular medical and device therapy to our patients. Clinical Research is an avenue for our patients and physicians to access new and developing cardiovascular treatments. The Research team at Phoenix Heart adhere to the international standards of “Good Clinical Practice” (GCP). These standards provide public assurance that the rights, safety and well being of trial subjects are protected.
Our research philosophy is based on a commitment to our patients to provide the latest in cardiovascular treatment alternatives while protecting their rights, safety and well being. Therefore, we select study protocols that are compatible with this commitment to our patients.

Staff Experience

Fred Cucher, MD is the Director of the Research Department and the Principal Investigator for the outpatient studies. He has been involved in clinical research trials at this site since 1995.
All of the practice’s physicians and the nurse practioner have many years of research experience and participate in the clinical research studies as sub investigators to better coordinate the cardiac care and research experience of their patients. Our research coordinator is a BSN/MBA Registered Nurse with 27 years healthcare experience, working towards the Research Coordinator Certification.
