A Long History of Excellent Medicine

In 1979 Drs. Marvin Padnick and Douglas Jensen started in practice together with the philosophy that their practice would provide cost-effective patient care, place the interests of the patient's wellbeing first, and all the while offer the most modern, proven treatments for heart disease.

Their approach to medicine proved successful, and in 1983, they were joined by Dr. Cucher. Later that decade, the three doctors formalized their practice into Phoenix Heart.

In 2001, Dr. Rossum joined and in 2002, Phoenix Heart was further complemented by the addition of Dr. Patel.

Board Certifications

Through the years, Phoenix Heart has prided itself on adhering to its mandate--to provide cost-effective, responsible, and modern yet proven treatments for heart disease. In 1997, Dr. Jensen received a Board Certification in Nuclear Cardiology, and Phoenix Heart began offering nuclear services. Some time after, Drs. Padnick and Patel added to their expertise, becoming board certified in peripheral vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Dr. Cucher, excelling in office-based clinical research, and Dr. Padnick incorporated the newest advances in pacemaker and defibrillator therapy for patients with heart failure and cardiac arrhythmia.

Dr. Padnick, in the Fall of 2007 opened the Phoenix Heart Vein Center, specializing in diseases of the lower extremity venous disease.
