Reshmaal Gomes, MD, MCRP
Dr. Reshy Gomes, grew up in England. She is a graduate of the University of Liverpool Medical School in Liverpool, England and worked as a Specialist Registrar in Emergency Medicine in North London.
Dr. Gomes emigrated to the U.S. in 2000 and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Pennsylvania Hospital, in the University of Pennsylvania Health System, in Philadelphia. Following which, she underwent fellowship training in Cardiology at the University of Connecticut Health Center, in Connecticut.
Her interest in primary prevention led her to engage in translational cardiovascular research at the University of Pennsylvania. The studies identified novel inflammatory markers and metabolic factors associated with coronary atherosclerosis and were published in the Journal of American College of Cardiology and American Journal of Cardiology. Dr. Gomes has presented her research at national meetings of the American College of Cardiology and American Heart Associations.
