Kenneth Dizon, DO
Dr. Dizon trained in Internal Medicine at Garden City Hospital, a teaching hospital for Michigan State University. He practiced Internal Medicine for several years but his desire to practice Cardiology led Dr. Dizon to return to fellowship training. He completed his Cardiology training in 2005 and then went on to complete specialized training in Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation at the renowned Cleveland Clinic.
He is experienced in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of Heart Failure and is qualified in the field of Cardiac Transplant Medicine as a certified UNOS (United Network of Organ Sharing) physician. Dr. Dizon's clinical interest also include diagnosis and management of Pulmonary Hypertension and the vast spectrum of diseases related to Cardiomyopathy. He performs diagnostic heart catherizations, endocardial biopsies, and transesophageal echocardiography. He is board certified in Cardiovascular Medicine.
Dr. Dizon has held a Clinical Assistant Professorship in Internal Medicine with the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Michigan State University and at Midwestern University, College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has received numerous awards from 1998 to 2002 for excellence in teaching of medical students, interns, and medical residents. Recently, Dr. Dizon was nominated as a recipient for the Mentoring Hall of Fame under the American Osteopathic Association.
