Fred H. Cucher, MD, FACC
Dr. Fred Cucher, Doctor of Cardiology for Phoenix Heart, graduated from the University of Illinois and pursued his medical education at Chicago Medical School.
He trained in Internal Medicine at Hines VA Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois, and subsequently underwent fellowship training in Cardiology at Loyola University Medical Center, also in Maywood. He is a certified Diplomat by the National Board of Medical Examiners, the American Board of Internal Medicine, and the American Board of Subspecialty of Cardiovascular Diseases.
Dr. Cucher has undertaken extensive research in the field of cardiology and has been involved with the development of several new therapeutic techniques as the Principal Investigator and Sub-Investigator in a number of research protocols. He has lectured widely on a variety of cardiology topics, including heart disease prevention, anti-arrhythmic treatment, myocardial infarction and current treatment of sudden death. He has undergone advanced training and certification in IRB 101 and has participated in the Scientific Review of Medical Studies. Dr. Cucher is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the Maricopa County Medical Society, the American Heart Association, and the American Society of Echocardiography.
