Dr. Alfred Rossum, MD

Dr. Alfred Rossum, Doctor of Cardiology for Phoenix Heart, graduated from the University of Arkansas and pursued his medical education at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

He trained in Internal Medicine at the University of Arizona School of Medicine, and in Cardiology at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. He subsequently underwent fellowship training in Space Medicine at Johnson Space Center, and in Aerospace Medicine at the U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine, where he earned his certification as a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner by the Federal Aviation Administration.

Dr. Rossum is co-inventor and developer of the Reflex Tendonometer, a new diagnostic tool, and he has published extensively on a variety of medical research, including cardiac injuries, lesions and skin screening, and the cardio effects of alcohol abuse. His articles and abstracts have appeared in a number of journals, including Cardiology, American Journal of Cardiology, and Archives of Dermatological Research. He has been a featured speaker at several academic conferences, including the American College of Physicians and the Western Society of Clinical Investigations. Along with his attending duties as Doctor of Cardiology, Dr. Rossum is currently undertaking research as a Sub-Investigator in a number of clinical studies.
